Mother-Baby Follow-Up Clinic
You’re home with a new baby and everything is exciting … and
sometimes a little scary. You may wonder if your baby is gaining
weight appropriately or have concerns about how he nurses. When
you have questions about your general well being and that of your
newborn, visit the Mother-Baby Follow-Up Clinic at the Women’s
Health Center. You will spend an hour with an experienced RN while
she examines you and your baby.
Sometimes, while a mom is still hospitalized following the birth,
her physician may suggest a follow-up visit with the Women’s
Health Center. In this case, we will automatically plan to see
you three to five days after the birth.
There is a fee for this service; insurance will be billed if available.
Mother-Baby Time
Each Wednesday at 10 a.m., Women’s Health Center staff members
gather with moms and their babies. Mother-Baby Time is a support
group setting she you can meet new friends, support one another
other and receive answers to your questions. A lactation consultant
is always there to address infant health care issues and to weigh
your baby. Come share your favorite stories as your baby grows
and discovers the world. |
