The
clinic is staffed by resident physicians - doctors who have earned
their M.D. degree at an accredited medical school and are practicing
at the clinic for three years under the direction of board-certified
Internal Medicine physicians. Disease prevention, diagnosis and
treatment of adult illnesses encompass the specialty of Internal
Medicine.
Fees
- Patients
are accepted who have their own insurance plan, Medicare and Medicaid.
It is a policy that no one be denied access to medical services
because of an inability to pay. Patients without insurance coverage
are cared for under a sliding scale fee-for-service plan.
Care
Plan - Internal
Medicine Spokane provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to
patient care; utilizing many resources in the Spokane medical community
to help patients improve their health and well-being. The resident
physician becomes the patient's regular doctor for clinic visits
and hospital admissions, if needed.
Sponsorship
-
The
Internal Medicine Spokane program and Clinic are supported by Sacred
Heart and Deaconess Medical Centers and the University of Washington
School of Medicine. The resident physicians admit patients to Sacred
Heart Medical Center and Deaconess Medical Center.
