Provided
Trauma
Services
- Care of seriously injured patients throughout their hospital stay.
Injury prevention programs are also available for community groups.
FASTTRACK
- Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. This service is open
7 days a week, noon to midnight, including holidays, and is located
in the Emergency Department.

MedStar
- Air ambulance service for emergency care is available on a 24-hour

Cafeteria
Located on Lower Level 3 (LL3) the Sacred Heart cafeteria - Le Cafe
is open daily, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Vending machines are located
in the hallway outside the Emergency Department entrance. For more

Chaplaincy
There
is a chaplain assigned to the Emergency Department for emotional
and spiritual support. Please let one of our staff know if you would
like to talk with a chaplain.
Parking
Parking passes and after-hour visitor passes are available.
You may also request an escort to your car. Please ask about these
services at the Security Office located at the front entrance of
the Emergency Department.
Psychiatric
Care
A mental health counselor is continually on duty. Mental health
evaluations are conducted in a separate area of the Emergency Department.
Payment
of Services
You
will be mailed a bill for services after you are discharged from
the Emergency Department. If your primary care physician or a specialized
sees you in the Emergency Department, you may be billed separately
for this service.
In
most cases, your bill is first submitted to your insurance company
for payment. In this instance, you will receive a statement - not
a bill - from Sacred Heart that provides information about services
provided.
Security
Security
officers are stationed in the Emergency Department 24-hours; 7 days
a week. Additional security measures include monitoring cameras,
signaling devices and other measures for the safety of our patients,
visitors and staff.
Skill
and Experience
Emergency/Trauma
Services are staffed by board certified emergency medicine physicians
and specialty trained registered nurses, licensed practical nurses
and technicians.
Visiting
Privileges
For safety and privacy, visiting is restricted to two
visitors per patient in the treatment area. Emergency staff will
notify family and friends when they can visit. Visitors will be
required to check with the triage nurse or secretary when entering
or reentering the treatment area.
